Freedom's just another word for between jobs

My current work contract ended on Friday, as scheduled, but so far there's nothing else definite on the horizon. Hoping that changes soon while I wrestle the house, the works in progress and various other things into shape. The worst part is always the part where I sit around and think about how if I could just get enough published, I wouldn't need the day job. It's a pretty little bubble while it lasts. Sigh.

On another note, I'll be reading at The Loft's Summer Local Motion series this coming Thursday, August 6th at 7PM. It's a group reading of several Loft instructors, including poets, memoirists and lit fiction writers, and me. I'm thinking I'll be reading from Silver Moon. I gather they serve munchies afterward, the Loft being a class act, and it's free. Hope to see some folks there!
