John M. Ford...
Sep. 25th, 2006 06:56 pmI'll truly miss talking to him; he was a font of esoteric information and one of the funniest people I knew.
All of you who were closer to him than I was are in my thoughts today.

He was all that and more
Date: 2006-09-27 01:16 am (UTC)I took this picture of him the last time I visited him. I should have asked him to pose, but somehow I didn't.
Did you see him often? At cons or locally? I feel so far away here in Southern Indiana.

Date: 2006-09-27 03:11 am (UTC)I knew Mike through a bunch of other people and mostly hung out with him at WisCon or other conventions he happened to be at. Occasionally I'd run into him at the coop or around town. I remember that we had a nice long chat at WisCon this year about comic book heroes. I was at a reading tonight where someone remembered watching him at a convention registration table filled with 'My Name is..." stickers. Mike began writing "Inigo Montoya. Prepare to die." on each of them. :-)
A lot of folks, myself included, are really going to miss his wit, intelligence and humor.
