Holy cow! I won a Thing!
Sep. 15th, 2021 10:01 amJust found out that I won my first ever writing grant! I'm one of the recipients of a 2021 Ladies of Horror Fiction Writers Grant! The lineup is pretty amazing and I'm thrilled to have my queer horror project selected for this. Big thank you shoutout to LOHF, the grant funders and the judges and HUGE congrats to the other winners!
What queer horror project, you ask? Lo, these many years ago, I wrote an essay on queer horror for Nightmare Magazine's Queers Destroy Horror and I've been wanting to go back and do more with it and write something a tad more comprehensive about queer horror. And now I'm motivated and funded! :-D
EDITED to add: Oh yeah, and I finally got a job offer so I start a new gig in a week and half! It is another contract, so I may be out looking in a few months, but we'll see how it goes.
