Thank you! As for GC: as with any other volunteer-run group, lots of turnover, lots of variations. I know people on it and I know people who have benefited from their work, just not associated with this particular person. It’s singularly unfortunate that his tenure coincided with highly relaxed guidelines about what the committee did (“We represent everybody!” No, you never have and should not for a bunch of valid reasons), either actual manipulation or a misunderstanding of what the author’s claim was (it changed a lot, very quickly) and behavior that might perhaps work on someone in the way it was applied…just not me. Eyeroll. My renewal as a member is currently in doubt…for a bunch of valid reasons.
