The good: Georgia O'Keefe show at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.(http://www.artsmia.org/). Included lots of paintings I hadn't seen reproduced before, some of which are quite gorgeous.
Plus the MIA has a new painting by Elizabeth Vigee-LeBrun (most famous and successful female painter of the eighteenth century, known for spectacular portraits, including those of Marie-Antoinette); I love her work but I had no idea that she did landscapes too. Check out some of the reproductions at http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/vigee-lebrun_marie_louise_elisabeth.html.
Also worth seeing - Shibata Zeshin exhibit at the MIA - beautiful scrolls and lacquer work. Very shiney.
And of course, Kelly McCullough's reading at DreamHaven on Friday night, where a jolly time was had by all.

The bad - leaving the MIA and stepping off the curb into a 5 inch deep leaf-filled storm drain and spraining my ankle. Ouch. :-(

Now on to the getting stuff done seeing as I'm not too mobile. Done with the interview I had to turn in this week. Now it's back to story rewrites and beginning the article I have due at the beginning of December.
