One week later, post hell...

Still job hunting. I actually got something and it looked pretty sweet but I know the guy they brought in to lead the project. Since he combines the fabulous qualities of total cluelessness and inability to listen and process information with a complete lack of pertinent job skills, I decided to pass on that one. So it's back to interviews again. Bleah. Not happy about that part. But at least I found out that it would be a disaster before I started; usually I have to actually show up to confirm that.
Yesterday was May Day here in the lovely Minneapple. For those of you from elsewhere, we have the coolest May Day celebration, brought to shiny South Minneapolis by the fab Heart of the Beast Theater. There are big puppets and amazing costumes, all built by folks from the surrounding communities, and even a May pole in the park. And everyone dances and drums to welcome the big paper mache sun as it gets paddled across Powerhorn Lake on a bunch of linked canoes. There are morris dancers and Aztec dancers and African dancers and nudists and anarchists. In short, it makes my top ten list for continuing to live here. :-)
Yesterday was a particularly good May Day - lovely weather, good company, pleasant vibe so I'm feeling more optimistic about the rest of the month, espcially since it ends with WisCon.
