Apart from that, it's been Jana's weekend. Minnesota Center for Book Art's Winter Book 2011, "Come and Get it" by Kevin Kling with illustrations by Michael Sommers was unveiled. Jana did a fabulous job with the deluxe binding (open the link to see the pix) and Kevin Kling, who I have somehow managed to not hear live and in person before, gave an amazing reading. It was moving and funny and quirky. This was a gold standard for public readings and I'm really glad I got to hear it. And the stories, poems and illustrations are quite something too.
The rest of the weekend was mostly about trying to get caught up and run errands and so forth. I've got some work stuff to deal with (not bad, just requires thought) so that's consuming a lot of my mental bandwidth. I'm going to try and get some writing done tonight though. And maybe a few cards.
