Had a fine time at Arcana. It was lovely to see Pam Keesey as always and we had some fun chats and panels. I also got to hang out with authors Roy and Cynthia Booth, James Roberts and Rob Callahan. And of course friends from around like Eric Heideman, Mike Waltz, among others. I picked up an assortment of vampire fun at the auction, including the original "Dark Shadows" which I've never seen, "Bloody Mallory" and the "Bride of Fracula." Good times ahead. :-)

Then we were off to see the new "3 Musketeers." Or as I've been calling it, "Vampire Steampunk 3 Musketeers." It would have improved with vampires, just saying. We were all quite sure that the filmmakers did not intend it to be as hilarious as we found it. The special effects and visiting are pretty, as our the steampunky props. The accents are utterly American and flat, the acting not stunning. It was better than "Suckerpunch" though, gotta give it that. Were Dumas alive, we're pretty sure he would be screaming for royalties in some form.
