Since people have been kind enough to inquire.
  • The Mom Situation. Not improving and will require yet more drastic measures soon, alas. Trying to deal with this
  • Day job reorg. Who knows? Not off to a great start but not laid off yet, so that's something
  • Cooking, lot of this, since it is now CSA season. Huzzah!
  • Going to movies - Only Lovers Left Alive and Belle, both of which I loved. X-Men: Days of Future Past, which I liked but I think requires a Mystique movie. Next up, Maleficent.
  • Writing, in fits and starts. Proposed schedule for the year follows:
  1. By June 8th - send new guest blog on LGBT SFF the 1990s to SF Signal
  2. By June 10th -  sub new erotic romance fairy tale as Emily Byrne
  3. By June 15th - sub erotic short story collection proposals to publisher who requested them
  4. By June 30th - sub new erotic short story by Emily Byrne to editor who requested it
  5. By July 15th - complete rewrite of Medusa's Touch and send to beta readers
  6. By July 30th - complete sfnal story for editor who requested it and send
  7. By August 15th - Write 2 class proposals for The Loft Literary Center
  8. By August 30th - Sub nonfic book proposal to publisher who requested it
  9. By September 15th - send a new LGBT SFF in 2000s blog post to SF Signal
  10. By September 30th - sub the decopunk story I'm working on
  11. By October 30th - finish revising Medusa's Touch and send out to publishers
  12. By December 30th - complete first draft of Blood Moon, the Silver Moon sequel
How feasible is all this, given that it has to fit in around writer's panels, 4 more cons, the Mom Sitch, the day job and everything else? No idea. But it does give me something to shoot for. :-)

Speaking of Emily L. Byrne, AKA Other Me, check out my alternate blog for some excellent posts on writing lesbian and F/F erotica and erotic romance. I'd like this to take off because there are damn few places to publicize female-focused erotic work.

I will continue to host writers and editors out here, too, of course, with a preference given to SF/F/H by female-identified authors writing queer content, small press authors with queer content and writers of color with smaller presses and imprints. Ping me if you'd like to write something out here.

Now, back to the grindstone.
