Personal update
Aug. 12th, 2013 03:29 pmIt has been, as they say, an interesting week.
Things continue along on the Mom health front. I found an emergency healthcare aide option which kicked off today, and which will hopefully continue trouble-free until she is fetched. I sign up for the apartment and associated package tomorrow.
Apart from that, it's been CSA week, so we're been waxing creative with veggies and having friends over. Friday was "Yay, new manual wheelchair is here. Let's fold it up and lift it in and out of things until Catherine's lower back screams. Day. Verdict: it folds up just fine and fits in the car so huzzah.
Saturday was bad movie night with Oblivion and Merlin and the Book of Beasts after a day of vigorous pesto making, bread baking, the making of borscht and a trip to the Fulton Farmer's Market for more basil and pickling cukes.
Sunday was actual writing (more below) and making pickles. Lots of pickles. 6.5 jars of pickles, in fact.
And writing: I've got a workable synopsis and three sample chapters, in near final draft. Doing one more overhauls plus a description and firing this sucker off this week. I also managed to fit in a quick interview which I'll be sending off tonight. Once those are away, it's back to balancing new book and werewolves while I wait to hear back about said proposal. And I get to either blurb or early review a book that looks like loads of fun. Fingers crossed for a trouble-free week!
