Aug. 27th, 2012 10:13 amSpent last night trying to deal with a new and exciting problem. Yahoo changed their web hosting to make it more secure, which is a good thing. I'm having trouble getting Adobe Contribute to talk to it which means I can't update my website, which is a bad thing. Still searching for solutions but it's taking a lot of time I don't have. Yahoo has confirmed that they don't support the setting which I thought would work. Sigh.
I did manage to write another 1k words on Blood Moon last night so it wasn't a total loss. I'll start posting word count updates soon. I'm recognizing that when I started Silver Moon the novel, I had already written 12,000 words of Silver Moon the novella. It was a sizable jumpstart. But this is also the second book of a projected three so I've already got a start on world building and character development. So we'll see how that speeds things up. I'd love to have a novel draft by the end of the year but given the new job and other commitments, that seems unlikely.
And speaking of the new job, I'm off to go get drug tested this morning. Then it's back to prep for Worldcon and try to get a few more things in progress finished.
