Oh, look I've been pirated

Specifically, Night's Kiss has been pirated. I gather this means I've "arrived," in the sense that I now have enough name recognition that someone thinks it's worthwhile to rip me and my publisher off. Oh joy. Pretty pissed about this and no, I don't agree with Mr. Doctorow that it will magically create more fans for my work. I think that only works if you're already famous.  I work very hard at my writing and equally hard at promoting it and I fight for every sale and every review. Someday I too would like something of a shot at not having to work 10+ hours days to keep things together. Maybe even get to use that time to do more writing, she says with a degree of exhausted irony, something which is only likely if my books sell. If I wanted them available for free, they'd be posted on my blog. Pirates, you can bite me. Abuse email sent.  Publisher contacted re: C&D.
