Busy weekend
Mar. 20th, 2011 11:13 amSpent Friday night reading a fantasy novel I was asked to blurb (details to be revealed when the publisher accepts it - I said good things) and nursing a sore back and budding migraine. Saturday was a whirlwind of errands and shopping and gasp, cleaning the house. This last point has been sorely neglected for months now due to toxic day job, frantic schedule and various health crises. It was nice to see things start to emerge from the dust bunnies and mounds of cat hair. 3 more rooms to go. Fortunately, it's a small house.
Yesterday afternoon and evening, we had one of our tea party/chocolate/play with kitties gatherings and had a bunch of folks over. Chatting was lively and a good time was had - I love it when our friends from different parts of our lives can socialize together and find things in common. Post-tea, it was off to the Citizen Cafe for dinner with Jana and yuusui, which was delightful.
Then back home to finish the blurb and do some Hellebore publicity. Today, I'm going over edits to the original Silver Moon novella which will appear in a Zumaya werewolf anthology called Bitten by Moonlight sometime in the near future. After that, it's back to novel edits and new stories for the new collection and perhaps some poking at the new novel.
I think there'll be some exciting changes in the near future in the nonwriting portions of my life, but nothing I can announce yet. Here's hoping the next week brings good things to us all.
