Some comix -
I just finished reading the #0 teaser issue of Lady Mechanika, proof that I read a lot of stuff with gears in it. Nice art, though clumsily sexualized. Interesting premise - steampunk mecha heroine fights bad guys, but the writing's not terribly interesting, at least for this issue.
New Batgirl, featuring Stephanie Brown presumably back from the dead. Good artwork and premise. Sort of a YA Birds of Prey dynamic in the making
Speaking of BOP, I also picked up one of the Oracle comics. Interesting thus far. I love Oracle, especially as Gail Simone writes her.
Dutifully voted today, though unexcited about most of the candidates.
