Day job hell continues, though I did get people to sit in a room and talk last week so there may be a tiny bit of light at the end of the tunnel that isn't an oncoming train. And now I get to screen resumes and conduct interviews, which is interesting as I've generally been on the receiving rather than conducting end up until now. Weird feeling though I suspect it will greatly improve my own interviewing skills as I get more used to it.

In my other life, I've decided that my web presence needs a major makeover, starting with my website. Currently, I have an adequate website done on an iWeb template. It's comparatively easy to update if you don't mind mucking about with FTP protocols and such but it's not very flexible. Seeing as a fourth book with my name on the cover will be out soon, this seems as good a time as any to look at a major redo. I'm also pulling back a bit on writing erotica right now, not because I don't think it can be marvelous good fun, but because it's not really what's speaking to my writerly self at the moment. So big changes in the offing all around.

Here's what I'm working on currently/sporadically:
Silver Moon - menopausal werewolves protect their town from invaders led by an ex-wolf. Novel in progress. Having a lot of fun with this and am close to being done with the first draft.
Untitled romantic mystery set in IT. Not sure where this one is going but it's making for some good venting.
"The Letter of Marque" - recently sold as a historical novella  about a female pirate and a female French spy in the seventeenth century Caribbean. Swashbuckling and hijinks. Haven't gotten back to this yet, but it's calling. Loudly.
Untitled fantasy novel about a city in the midst of a magical conflict where each form of death is personified. Been working on this for a while, off and on. Need to just crank through and finish it and see how it looks.
Alternate Regency fantasy novel in which the Fay are trying to stop the Industrial Revolution - Luddites, passing women, the Queen of Air and Darkness and a few other things. There's about 50,000 words of this. It needs an overhaul. And an outline. And work. And people keep asking if I'm ever going to finish it, so I think I should.

I met with a web designer yesterday and we started talking about the things I need to do to "brand" myself as a writer, starting with a domain name (I know, I know. Long story as to why that hasn't been addressed yet), then new website and presence and biz cards and all that. My head is full of possible taglines and to-dos and I'm working on things like grant proposals and residency applications now that Hellebore and Rue is out the door. It should make for interesting times.

This was one of the first things I needed to follow up on. Not sure what I'll be doing with it yet, apart from posting announcements, but I'm now out on
Twitter, if you're inclined to link to me.
