Notes from a longish weekend
Jul. 4th, 2010 04:32 pmSo far, there's been Afghani and Kurdish food, a trip to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Best of Times Bookstore in Red Wing (though the Stag's Head is, alas, no longer with us) and to LARK Toys in Kellogg. Also pleasant times with friends. And sleep, blessed sleep for the first time in what seems like weeks.
My office is halfway clean and there's a huge pile of reference stuff pulled for the class I'm teaching at The Loft next weekend. Next up, barbecue.
And under the heading of recommended reading - an excellent post on what it would take to make genre fiction truly diverse - http://community.livejournal.com/genrereviews/251965.html?view=999229#t999229 -
