Must be free or quite cheap to rent/borrow and as centrally located as possible. And accessible. Refreshments are negotiable (as in if the venue sells them, that'll work too). We'll need a sound system or excellent acoustics for readings and we'll need to charge admission because the magazine needs to make some $$, which rules out a lot of open spaces.
What TOTU is: Tales of the Unanticipated is a locally based science fiction, fantasy and horror magazine based in the Twin Cities. It's been published for 23 years now. But the publishing costs, they are adding up this year, so some additional money and publicity needs to be raised. Hence the need.
Any suggestions on places in these parts that might suit?
