I actually had to get my datebook (the Syracuse Cultural Worker Women Artists one, in case you're curious - why, yes, I am a Luddite! I adore these, always have) last weekend because eek! I'm already being scheduled for next year.
Once we get through next month's nuptials and the considering-moving-here-visit from Mom, it's October. And that means the following:
Gaylaxicon 2009 - October 9-11. A Broad Universe Rapidfire Reading, and a panel or three. Plus fun socializing with folks I only see once a year or so, generally at this con.
Arcana 39: A Convention of the Dark Fantastic Oct.16-18 - Kim Harrison is GOH on this one, which should be interesting. I expect I'll be on panels and roaming about.
Speculations Reading Series at DreamHaven - Friday, October 23. 6:30-8:00. There will be a plethora of nonerotic excerpts. Werewolves, for sure. And maybe a snippet from my forthcoming TOTU story, "The Egyptian Cat." And possibly a bit from my death of Shakespeare alternate history story, "Great Reckonings, Little Rooms," due out this Fall. Or maybe a taste from the brand shiny new, nonsfnal but definitely swashbuckley pirate story I'm trying to get done this week. The possibilities, they are endless.
And forthcoming in 2010 -
April reading (more werewolves and such) with the fabulous Carrie Devall at Queer Voices: The GLBT Reading Series at Hamline U. in scenic St. Paul. More on that as we finalize.
May 12 - erotica reading at Form+Content Gallery in lovely downtown Minneapolis. Awaiting the lineup on this one.
A workshop offering on reading your work from Will Alexander and myself at The Loft Literary Center, sometime in late Spring, I believe.
And presumably Marscon, WisCon, CONvergence and then we'll see. Whatever did I find to do with myself before I decided to become a convention cult figure...er, writer?
