Odds and ends
Nov. 25th, 2008 05:54 pmFirst the writing stuff -
If you have somehow managed to disregard my subtle exhortations to buy my books but are curious about my writing, Lethe Press has a sample story from Crave posted at http://www.lethepressbooks.com/. Click the Free Lesbian Story button to open the download page. You can also check out a story from Craig Gidney's new collection, Sea, Swallow Me (that would be Free Gay Story). I, of course, recommend both of us. :-)
In other news, Haunted Hearths got a nice write up at Lesbiatopia - http://www.lesbiatopia.com/search/label/Book%20Reviews.
And the new Tales of the Unanticipated just hit the stands (Buy TOTU at your local bookstore or order it online at http://www.totu-ink.com/. Better yet, subscribe.). It includes, among other fabulous things, new fiction by S.N. Arly and Lyda Morehouse, new poetry by Terry Garey and an interview that I did with renowned Laotian American poet, Bryan Thao Worra. Bryan is a brand shiny new recipient of a Poetry Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (yay, Bryan!). He's also looming large in our lives because he's the Winter Book author/poet for this year.
Winter Book is the Minnesota Center for Book Arts annual artist extravaganza - handbound books, letterpress printing, local artists, handmade paper - the fun never stops. Once again, my beloved is working on the deluxe edition which is a marvel to behold. The reception's on the 13th - stop by and say hi. http://www.mnbookarts.org/theshop/winterbook.html
Okay, done with the ads for now. My goal for the holidays: actual sleep. Maybe some actual writing. But especially sleep...
