Accomplishments du jour

• Got new contracting gig, barring sudden funding snafus - huzzah! Due to start right after we get back from Gaylaxicon 2008.
• Dealt with Italian rights paperwork except for the actual going to the post office part. To be included on tomorrow's list.
• Went through part of giant pile of papers on various surfaces and cleaned them out.
• Discovered that had not in fact renewed Co-op America membership and corrected oversight.
• Continued the ongoing "read and shed" program of actually reading some of gigantic number of books currently filling the house and getting rid of the ones I don't like or continue to want
• Paid monthly bills.
• Began organizing new shipment of stuff for the University of Northern Illinois Rare Book and Special Collections. My papers, such as they are, are wandering up there slowly but steadily. Today involved wrestling with making new copies of my journalistic endeavors and sundry columns, 1995-2001. There were a lot more than I remembered during that time period. Who knew? I mention this in case you or someone you know dreams of writing a thesis or dissertation on my work. :-)

• Next up, off to meet with <lj user= "queenofillusion"> to chat about anthologies and the making thereof.
• BTW, Nordic Roots Fest rocked last weekend, particularly the Hurdy Gurdy Project and Hoven Droven - www.thecedar.org/nordic_roots_festival_hoven_droven_hurdy_gurdy

Now off to dine and meet and come back and try to dig my way out far enough to actually write something tomorrow.
