Just realized it's been a few days. The week in review:
Day job - Had 2 technical interviews at different places. They went reasonably well. I got to a live interview at one place, scheduled for Monday. Still finishing up at current day job.
I hate job hunting. I forget when it's been awhile. But I remember now. Sigh.

Went to Theater Unbound's (http://www.theatreunbound.com/index.html) staged reading (and singing) of Carolyn Gage and Andrea Higgins' musical life of Babe Didrikson - "BABE: An Olympic Musical." It was pretty rough, as one would expect from an early reading but was definitely worth checking out.

Continued the Women in Sports theme by going to the Lynx versus Mercury game on Friday, the Lynx being the local women's basketball team for those outside the Cities. I went with the new owners of Amazon Feminist Bookstore and associated family and friends including author Lynn Ames and we ended up sitting right behind the Mercury basket on the court. It was very, very exciting, not merely for being a good game, but also because you never knew when you'd get clobbered with a basketball or a player. The Lynx lost but not for lack of trying and I look forward to future games. And may I just say I love that the Satin Dolls Dance Troupe (senior women's tap performance) performed at one of the breaks? Good show all around.

Did a reading yesterday as part of the grand reopening of Amazon Feminist Bookstore/True Colors Bookstore (http://www.amazonfembks.com/) with Lynn Ames, Nell Stark, Lyda Morehouse and Sias Bryant. It wasn't wildly well attended but the readings were quite good and the audience was very engaged. I enjoyed everyone's work and was quite pleased to be reading in such company. I also got some nice feedback about the lesbian werewolf story that I'm busy novelizing. :-)

In the meantime, True Colors has done an enormous amount of restocking and is busy scheduling events. The new owners are working really hard to make the store a go. Please stop buy and shop if you're in town or check out their site for mail order if you're not. It would be really nice not to have any more indy bookstore casualties in the Cities for quite a while to come.
Still waiting to hear if I made the cut for the Patrick's Cabaret December show. And looking forward to Gaylaxicon (http://www.gaylaxicon2008.org/)in a few short weeks.
