What I did this year....
Dec. 28th, 2007 06:51 pmsince I figure this is as good a point to recap as any.
1. Worked the day jobs. Alot.
2. Saw my second erotica collection, "Crave:Tales of Lust, Love and Longing" out from Lethe Press.
3. Embarked on an impromptu 'tour' to promote said book - attended the Saints and Sinners Literary Festival in New Orleans, did 2 readings at WisCon, read at DreamHaven Books and Comics, read at Amazon Feminist Bookstore, read at In the Flesh in NYC, read at Outwrite Bookstore Cafe in Atlanta, read at the Chambers Hotel here in the Minneapple. And that's not including the full convention schedule - Marscon, WisCon, CONvergence, Diversicon and Gaylaxicon. I think I'm missing something but it's been that kind of year.
4. Saw my first erotica collection, "Night's Kiss," go out of print.
5. Turned in the ghost story anthology I spent the last few months reading for on time and with cover art, thanks to one of our cool artist pals (not to mention all the writers who wrote terrific stories and turned rewrites around very quickly). I'll let everyone know as soon as I have a definite answer on the final line-up.
6. Met lots and lots of fabulous people who I'm not going to list here because inevitably I'll leave someone out.
And in general, had a pretty decent year. It feels like I should have been writing more. And definitely selling more. But now I can start fretting about Book 4 and what it will be. I should finish one of the novels but we'll see if something else ends up looking shinier. :-)
