The week in review...
Sep. 3rd, 2007 12:00 pmWent to the State Fair with the always entertaining
mr_bad_example. Mounties, side shows and seed art - need I say more? This is the kind of thing that makes living here worthwhile.
Much wrestling with day job stuff, but that goes without saying.
Began putting website back together. Cautionary note about using iWeb for website maintenance: saving the code is not enough. You have to save the format file from the library folder. There is no way to import text into iWeb that I can find and if you try to copy from your existing website, it copies as a full graphic, not individual pieces of text. Short version - idiot steals my laptop, I backed up the code but not the full finished template, I get to spend weeks and weeks rebuilding the stupid website. My hands hurt (I have killer tendinitis for those of you who don't know me in meat space) so it's going very slowly. :-(
Got some painting done on the kitchen, which oddly enough doesn't hurt much as long as I only do short stretches. Soon...soon, there will be a stove. Hooked up even. On a new floor. It will happen.
Thanks to those of you who weighed in my next project. I worked on one of them yesterday plus cranking out a short fantasy piece that is weird enough that it will undoubtedly take several tries to find a home.
More writing to come. After lawn mowing, recycling and numerous other household chores.
Went rummage saling with the lovely and delightful [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] in memory of her Aunt Judy who passed away this week. Aunt Judy was a rummage saler beyond compare from the sound of it. I hope we did her proud.
We did make some cool finds - Elise acquired a lovely little hand carved table at my instigation, among other things.
Now, back to work.
