Out and about...
May. 19th, 2007 03:49 pmat least last night. Today is all about the gardening, the errands and making progress on the two stories and the interview that are due REAL SOON NOW. Oh yeah, and prepping for upcoming readings and panels. Then working on the novel excerpt for yet another anthology and creating the new My Space page for "Crave." Urgh. I miss being not hectic.
Last night, Jana, the beauteous Rebecca of the new fab raven wing tattoos and I went to go hear local writer Catherine Friend read from her new novel, "The Spanish Pearl." Seems like it'll be a fun read - lesbian inadvertently time travels to in 11th Century Spain. Wacky hijinks ensue. I'm looking forward to having enough time to read it.
I also ran into delightful local mystery writer, Lori Lake. Lori's getting prepped for the Golden Crown Literary Conference (http://www.gclscon.com/) where she'll be doing lots of interesting and official things. She also asked me to plan on coming by to talk to her queer lit class at The Loft Literary Center this summer. It looks it'll be a fun class - the details are here if you or anyone you know is interested in signing up (she mentioned there were still slots open) - http://www.loft.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1334.
