Translucent around the edges...
Feb. 22nd, 2007 08:28 pmor so it feels. Day job becoming one long episode of saying in varying tones of mild alarm, "Don't put your hand on the stove, dear. It's very hot." When in reality I'd rather just let them scald their little fingertips off. But that is not my job. Sigh.
Got all registered for Saints and Sinners in New Orleans a few days back <http://sasfest.org/index.php?topic=registration>. No idea if I made the cut for programming yet but really have my fingers crossed for that and for the master class with Dorothy Allison (Postmodern SQUEE!). I haven't been to a con by myself where I didn't know very many people in a long time. And I've never been anywhere in NOLA except the train station so it promises to be one big adventure.
Then 2 weeks after that, it's off to WisCon where we, along with the lovely SNarly, managed to snare one of the last few hotels rooms at the Concourse. Looking forward to seeing the extended feminist fandom family. :-)
But before that, it's off to visit my beloved in N.C. where she'll be teaching for 2 months. And I'm only going down there for a few days of that. Argh! I'll run mad, I know I shall. Well, probably just whine a lot. You have been warned.
