This week's fun...

I'm on programming and am sure of what, but not so sure of when. Last I heard, I'm on a panel on paranormal romance, a panel on Octavia Butler and another one on CLAMP, the Japanese women's manga collective that does such spiffy books as 'Clover' and 'Rig Veda'. I may or may not also be doing something on pirates and/or something on Latin American folk tales. Can we say 'eclectic'? That's a big word! :-)
At any rate Kelly Link is one GOH and Bryan Worra (an amiable and entertaining local writer) is the other. Should be fun.
In other news, the kitty's on the mend from the infection but is really hating our guts right now. Twice a day forcefed antibiotics is not popular (and who could blame her?). Fortunately, prescription diet with tuna flavored thyroid meds is so at least she's eating regularly. Thanks for the well wishes!
Other than, got the trifocals and can see but they're giving me headaches. Hoping that goes away soon. Spent part of the weekend at the Fringe Festival watching things like a one man performance of Lovecraft's "The Rats in the Walls", an Indiana Jones spoof called "Illinois Jane and Pyramid of Peril" and "The Duchess of Devonshire" (about Gainsborough's painting, not the actual woman). "Rat" and "Duchess" had the best acting and writing, "Illinois Jane" was the most fun.
Writing progress -
Got another story drafted out for the book in prog, which puts me about 45k words, and am nearly done with one of my encyclopedia articles. Huzzah!
