An interview I did last year with The View from The Loft on writing erotica is now up on the site. Ann Fee was one of the instructors of the other erotica-related class that they scheduled last summer.
I'm offering a longer version of last year's workshop in July 2010 (see my Where I'll Be in 2010 post at the beginning of this blog), but don't know if the second class is being offered as well. I'll post a link when my class is open for registration.

I also just received a copy of the final proof of M. Christian's new book, Collections of a Literary Streetwalker, due out later on this year from Renaissance Ebooks. This is a collection of Chris' columns interspersed with the thoughts of sundry folks who write a lot of smut including Thomas Roche, Saskia Walker, Donna George Story, Patrick Califia, Cecilia Tan, Carol Queen, Sage Vivant, Lisabet Sarai, Shanna Germain and myself (damn, I'm keeping good company these days! :-). I'll post a link as soon as this is out as I think it will be an excellent resource. Chris rocks several genres in addition to erotica, including science fiction, fantasy and horror and I highly recommend  his work. See zobop.blogspot.com for some more info.

In other nonerotica-related news, Jim Hines posts a fine write-up on the current debacle with the Library of the Living Dead pulling an LGBT zombie anthology because "the other authors were complaining about it." This one's pretty mystifying on several levels including but not limited to: a. What other authors? I can't see much evidence that this is an actual publisher. It appears to be a forum of some sort. Edited to add: dqg_neal just informed me that they do have several imprints and that the publishing arm grew out of the forum.
b. I've never known authors to have that much clout over a publisher's list, regardless of publisher size.
And of course,
c. WTF?
Apparently teh gay, much like having a visible disability or being just plain different from the Sarah Palin norm on any level is still contagious and must be shunned as much as possible. How nice. :-(((
