Well, some of it's left over from last week, but we'll just act like it was all this week:
- I chatted with various representatives of the Golden Crown Literary Society about the somewhat peculiar circumstances surrounding my collection, Night's Kiss (there was an earlier version that no one who was not a blood relative or close personal friend ever read - long story, not worth going into. Sufficieth to say, it was a newbie writer learning experience) and they decided that the 2009 Lethe edition can be eligible for the 2010 Goldies! V. pleased. The Goldies for those new to this journal (hi!) are the writing awards for lesbian fiction. I won a 2008 Goldie for Crave and was a 2009 finalist for Haunted Hearths, so naturally, I'd love to build the collection with another one. But mostly, just happy to be included. :-D
- More Golden Crown stuff. I just got asked to be one of the first instructors in their new Webinar writing class program. Am quite thrilled about this, what with it being the first round of these proposed classes and with some of the other folks who I believe will also be participating. More info on this as it gets fleshed out.
- Speaking of firsts, I was quite flattered to be informed that I'm going to have an author profile in the inaugural Rainbow Romance Writers' newsletter. Rainbow Romance is the GLBT romance chapter of Romance Writers of America, and was founded and approved 2008-2009 so it's pretty new. Chapter growth and participation has been quite lively. I'll post when the newsletter is up, though I'm not sure it's available outside the chapter.
