On Sunday, July 8th, I'm kicking off a month-long fundraiser for wolf conservation. Why? Well, I just wrote a book about a woman who turns into a wolf (Silver Moon) and am working on its sequel so wolves are a big part of my writing life right now. Wolves continue to be endangered and to be far less of a threat than proponents of wolf hunting and eradication programs would have you believe. In short, wolves get a bad rap and, like a lot of other people, I'm pretty intrigued by them and I'd like them to stick around.
I'll be doing a book giveaway of the following (Pictures are posted on my journal entries below):
1 signed pb copy of Silver Moon, plus a copy of Willow Creek Press' gorgeous Spirit of the Wolf and a lovely bookmark from Northland Visions, my local Native American owned and operated gift shop.
1 signed pb copy of Silver Moon, plus an adorable plushy howling wolf from Stuffed Animal House and a wolf magnet from Northland Visions.
Edited to add (I'm sure that the respective authors and editors might be persuaded to sign these as well :-):
2 pb copies of The Dubious Hills by Pamela Dean. This is a YA novel about all sorts of things, including werewolves. And really what more could one ask?
1 pb copy of WolfSongs Vol. 1, edited by M.H. Bonham and donated by S.N Arly. Anthology of sf/f/h wolf stories including stories by Lyn McConchie, Laura Underwood, Selina Rosen, S.N. Arly and a host of other talented folks.

1 pb copy of Living with Ghosts by Kari Sperring. A swashbuckling fantasy novel about the city of Merafi and its inhabitants, ghosts, shapeshifters and magic.
1 pb copy of The Shapeshifters' Library by Amber Polo (forthcoming in print 9/12 - winner gets a copy when it's available in print). A lively tale of shapeshifting dogs, werewolves and librarians.

This includes the original version of Silver Moon, before it grew up to be a novel, as well as vegan werewolves, ancient Roman werewolves and lots of other good stuff.
1 pb copy of Unnatural Tales of the Jackalope edited by John Palisano. Tales of jackalopes, shifting, changing, doing deeds great and/or evil. Includes stories by A.J. French, Jeff Strand, Kristi Petersen Schoonover, Jezzy Wolfe and other fine writers.
