My posting policies - no anonymous postings and no trolling.
Apart from that, I don't have an official friending policy. Feel free to introduce yourself and say hi.

In my copious free time, I write both nonfiction and fiction. I also write erotica/erotic romance as Emily L. Byrne. I have had one novel and four short story collections published to date: Silver Moon, A Day at the Inn, A Night at the Palace and Other Stories, Night's Kiss and Crave: Tales of Lust, Love and Longing. In addition, I'm the editor of the fantasy and horror anthology Haunted Hearths and Sapphic Shades: Lesbian Ghost Stories and co-editor, with JoSelle Vanderhooft, of Hellebore and Rue: Tales of Queer Women and Magic.

Available books:
Out of This World: Queer Speculative Fiction. 11 stories of the queer fantastic, out from Queen of Swords Press in January, 2017. http://www.queenofswordspress.com

My short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in some 80 publications including multiple volumes of Best Lesbian Erotica and Best New Erotica. My science fiction and fantasy and romance short fiction has been/will be published in such anthologies and other venues as
The Cainite Conspiracies,Callisto: A Queer Fiction Journal, Respectable Horror, The Ladies of Trade Town, The Mammoth Book of Professor Moriarty Adventures, Farrago's Wainscot, The Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper Stories, Tales of the Unanticipated, Best Lesbian Romance (multiple volumes) and sundry other places.

My nonfiction has appeared in a variety of newspapers and websites such as SF Signaland Nightmare Magazine as well as Women in Science Fiction and Fantasy: An Encyclopedia (Greenwood Press, 2008).

When I'm not writing, I test computer software, attend (and volunteer at) community arts and political events and hang out with my friends and my wife (married all official and properlike in Iowa). I occasionally teach writing classes at various venues including The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and I do a lot of programming at science fiction conventions.
